If we just had many games that let you do it without you needing to complete a quest first or making barriers out of mobs that cant be killed without doing some stuff first
The day I started googling how to do shit in minecraft was the day it started losing all appeal for me. Wish I could go back and tell myself “hey dipshit, that trick you just looked up? That was hours of rewarding experimentation and mishaps rather than a tedious 10 min copy-paste… before you went and *fucked it up*. Quit doing that.”
I know a lot of other people probably feel the opposite, but for me figuring it out fresh and organically was, I realized too late, most of the point.
I just started Red Dead Redemption 2 again after rushing through it after release. This time I’m taking it real slow and only doing a mission if I really feel like it. It’s so much fun.
If it LETS you

You would probably enjoy outer wilds.

Outward is exactly the game that best captures this.

New Game Plus: *DOOM music intensifies. “I’m a god, an angry god…”
Cute comic tho! I dig it.
except for when i do it.
I have an obsession with reading the wiki and watching gameplay before i buy a game so i already know atleast 90% of the mechanics
please tell me which game you are talking about
That can be my least favorite part depending on how many missables there are.
Skyrim and BOTW are the only games that made me feel this. BOTW was a more fun out of the box experience though. Skyrim was made better with mods.
My favourite part is the cool music that plays while you do so.
