The thing that bothers me was that Hades had so much potential and the author did fuck all with it. Qin was great through and through. Had more than one backstory and a variety of abilities. Hades’s ability was just **BIG SPEAR** and **B I G G E R S P E A R**. Hades just has good looks (Poseidon copy paste) and a good personality. Lukewarm backstory too, wish his character was flushed out more.
Hmm, I smell publisher interference, perhaps the future matchup have some potential problem on their side so they ask the author to change who win this specific round.
He was done dirty , from his introduction during round 6 you would expect this guy to be pretty insane considering how others were either shocked or terrified at hajun appearance and guess what he did ? Thrusting yeah that’s it if i have to say then he represented helhiem in way worse way than hajun when he is supposed to be king of it
I won’t lie Round 7 is one of my least liked rounds period- just meh in general, but idk why people treat Hades like some clown cause of it- Qin just barely won out and was left in critical condition afterwards to
Especially when you compare that to, say, Hades sushi platter brother talking mad shit, giving humanity the first win, couldn’t even put his opponent into critical condition at the end and having the least dignified death among the gods to boot- compared to that Hades got treated so much better.
Yeahh, Hades was a waste. When I first saw him, he looked like the biggest chad among this manga of chads. He was epic. That is, until he started fighting. Ngl, the spear attacks were cool at first, and how he switched the muscles he used mid-thrust when one was air bubbled was creative. But then… it just got repetive. And the blood power thing on the weapon… that felt like it was made just so Qin could counter it.
And yeah, he definitely should’ve had so much more backstory too. Persephone maybe? One of his attacks had her name??
My complaints about Hades are many, but most have already been mentioned here. But something that annoys me is that after Ichor Desmos, Hades seemed to know only one thing, make a direct lunge.
Before that he had more creative moves like Persephone: Titan
Hades would have been a great chief god if he had access to the well of souls and not blood magic. He’s a very strong character but he deserved more than what he was given especially since qin had so much going for him busted abilities and skills, 2 chapters worth of a backstory it’s hard to assume or even believe that the authors favorite character is Qin and how she dislikes the Greek gods so much.
Hades felt like just the author kept telling us oh hades cant lose he is reliable ,but never showed it in any way (except maybe just abit the titans ) but show us he is strong not just say oh he cant lose ,underwelming writing ,i felt hades was the underdog the whole fight
Hades was my most hyped character but the moment he announced to fight i knew what was going to happen. Now he actually surpassed lu bu and thor as worst participant in the entire manga. What a joke and waste of a character. I would have prefered if he actually was against humans extinction and showing his empathy towards mortals you know THE ONE THING THAT MAKES HIM DIFFERENT FROM OTHER GREEK GODS
He was respected by any and all gods, had authority over and entire realm and was a formidable combatant. From what I can gather, those are good reasons for a chief god to be considered as such.
Uhmm if you think the fight of round 7 kinda not suits you i understand.
But remember brunhilde match them with someone who can take them on. You can argue hades was done dirty coz qin countered him so much but wasn’t that the point of Brunhilde selecting those human fighters?. The other chief gods we see fighting is zeus who almost died on adam and shiva who ww see almost got destroyed. Also its established that zeus is the strongest on greek so hades is lower than him. His chief god ststus is him being the lone fighter guarding Tartarus and being the king of helheim. So there’s your answer.
Feel free to add something coz a lot of people saying Hades was weak character like a joke character. How about rereading the chapters again. He just met his best counter. So is it a rule that if you’re a god specially a chief god u must win and dont have counter?.
Dont you think the story is showing us at this point that humans are scary too?
Imagine round one easy clap for thor
Round two chief god zeus almost died in the hands of adam
But those two rounds gods win
On round three poseidon was killed by kojiro but its super close fight
Round four jack won but unconventional method
Round five shiva won but its a super close fight too
Round six buddha defeated not just zero but hajun the mythical berserker of helheim
At this point of story were gods humans winning big the story showing us those humans are scary as shit too. that will maks the gods more careful and cunning next rounds.
Round 7 happen and now the xhief god got the perfect counter and got clapped
You can see on latest chapter hoe the gods took that L that Beelzebub even come out and adamas trying to kill us u can see loki too not taking it well
So yeah dont just say how is Hades a chief god. Coz the answer on that is on the manga read the story.
Is hades strong? Yes. Does hades have a good fight with qin yeah. He almost kill the guy.
I dunno. It’s my second favourite fight. Humanity had to take the lead. Hades was shown to be an excellent fighter that was able to counter Qin techniques after they were used (the bubble was his counter but it only worked twice.) In the end Hades lost because he didn’t think that his own spear could be affected by Qin’s powers (none of us did, don’t lie to yourselves.)
It is not top 1 because I found Hades’ backstory a bit lacking and also Chi You made 0 sense given that Win had minor martial artist knowledge.
Well i understand where u coming from and you provide good points.
Its just that everytime hades was mention he was treated as a clown. Not by you but some people. I hope you and the others understand his whole thing is him being a good brother. Him being a chief god is him literally ruling over helheim which is hell in ror universe. I get that he’s underwhelming compare to buddha or zeus and he have a short backstory. But the point of that backstory is to literally just show the readers he will do anything or his bro. Supporting zeus on war, caring on poseidon and understanding and naking sure adamas is alive thats the whole thing. Yep he dont have backstory how he was as a king. But thats the point how he lose right?
Its king vs king so may the best king win. And qin is the better one. But dont deny hades didnt give one hell of a fight.
People were quick to judge hes weak which not the case. What his purpose on the story to reintroduce adamas, give more details above beelzebub, be there to see the chief god nostradamus disrespect by destroying bifrost and to show humans can clap gods. Thats his thing to lose.
Yeah he can be a better character. Coz out of all the fighters hes the most overhype one. But the thing is the author just wanna focus on him being a good god with a different approach than other hades interpretation. Thats it he just was meant to be a bridge character who will make way for other character.
Well thats all if u still have opinion feel free to discuss more.
Hades spent too much time and energy on drip.
The thing that bothers me was that Hades had so much potential and the author did fuck all with it. Qin was great through and through. Had more than one backstory and a variety of abilities. Round 7 was just qin starshow
Honestly
Hades shouldn’t have never been a fighter if this was how they were going to treat him.
I will not debate you, cause I know it’s criticisms. I loved the round but I highly agree that the round had so many flaws.

Spam the same move and fail
Round 7 feels like they had no idea what to do.
Honestly confused why Hades is a chief god, guy got married in into the underworld business after Poseidon left the head honcho position
RIP hades. Such a waste of a dapper badass
Spamming his weapon go brrrrr
The good thing about this is how the Gods are going to React now knowing that Humanity has the lead on them.
My complaints about Hades are many, but most have already been mentioned here. But something that annoys me is that after Ichor Desmos, Hades seemed to know only one thing, make a direct lunge.
Before that he had more creative moves like Persephone: Titan
Heracles couldn’t pay the debt that Greece had with the death of Poseidon, Hades couldn’t either, is it Apollo who will avenge the Greek gods?
Don’t go disrespecting the king of Helheim like that.
Hades is a chad.
The meme is funny tho
I really dont know what happened with r7. Its a shame what they did with Hades and, for a chief God, he doesnt seem to be on that level
Hades’ move set was really boring, unlike Qin with his chi stuff and the armor volund, Hades just had his bident that grew with blood tho (haha funny)

Because Hades folded the Titans from Tartarus by himself without support or help from others.
You think every chief gods have to win their rounds?
He was respected by any and all gods, had authority over and entire realm and was a formidable combatant. From what I can gather, those are good reasons for a chief god to be considered as such.
Shiva almost died fighting a Sumo wrestler. That’s way more humiliating than losing to an emperor.
Poor Hades but Qin is very lucky that Hades spear was alive :3
Uhmm if you think the fight of round 7 kinda not suits you i understand.

Round 7 was so bad imo, I’m probably gonna drop the manga if the next chapter doesn’t hook me
Bro stop with all the Hades slander, instead encourage Qin wanking

“Author bias” you people are cringy, genuinely.
