  1. Ares

While, as people mentioned, Brunhilde stopped Raiden once, this was in a scenario where Raiden was obviously not using his full strength due to it being before merging with Prudr and additionally he probably allowed said stop to happen.

I don’t doubt Brunhilde’s strength, but her true power lies in tactical skill. She is a Valkyrie, probably the oldest and strongest among them, but only half a god. There is no indication she has any excessive combat skill to put her on par with the gods. Manifested as a Volund, she would be a legendary weapon I am sure, on her own? Not so much

Ares, memes aside, is in many ways worthy of his title as god of war. Capable of keeping up with the Adam V. Zeus fight up until the ‘Fist that surpassed time’, he could see all moves clearly where other gods would see merely a blur. In terms of strength, he was an equal to Hercules after drinking Ambrosia, a feat that gave his near Zeus level strength. While Ares admits had the fight continued, he would have lost, but he was still capable of nearly matching Hercules at this stage. Hercules would later truly surpass him, but the fact remains. Ares is a power house and qualifies in the upper tiers of gods, it’s just that the contestants of Ragnarok are so far above that all else seems pathetic in comparison

Ares would lose to anyone on the Ragnarok roster, but against a single Valkyrie? He would likely overpower Brunhilde.

Technically, if Brunhilde had time to plan and cheat, as she is more than happy to do, she might pull a win but it would be a difficult battle

  2. I literally just thought of that too, like Valkyries are demigods right? And while performing Volund they can essentially kill the Highest Gods in the verse. Makes you wonder how strong they actually are as individuals
