Holy shit, I think just had a revelation about what the “Will Of D” might actually represent and it’s been staring us in the face all this time:

All this time we’ve been speculating what the intial “D” could stand for, whether it be Devil, Dreams, Dawn, Dusk, Disciple etc but perhaps we’ve been looking at it from the wrong lense.

Perhaps the “D” intial isn’t a appreviation for a word but rather it’s symbol that represents some sort of image, this idea seems much more plausible as it’d make the “D” intial global throughout all translations.

Which leads me to my theory what if the “D” intial is a symbol that represents two things, a toothy grin( 😀 ) and a frown( D: )…perhaps the D clan was filled with two factions of people, the happy go lucky toothy grinned people and the sad/miserable frowning people, this would explain why Luffy and Blackbeard seem to contrast despite both of them having the Will Of D.

It’s because both of them inherited different sides of the “Will Of D” Luffy inherited the will of the toothy grinned people whereas Blackbeard inherited the will of the frowning people.

Holy shit, I think just had a revelation about what the "Will Of D" might actually represent and it's been staring us in the face all this time:
