  1. Wano sort of needs to be closer to the Red Line towards FMI, because if Wano is pretty much central between the two Red line intersections (because it’s a round globe in the end) the compass pointing straight along the Grandline would be pointing directly East and then more and more South-East.

  2. You mixed up the Red Line and the Grand Line. The Red Line separates the North Blue and the East Blue. The Grand Line separates the East Blue and the South Blue. The Paradise is between the East Blue and the South Blue. The New World is between the North Blue and the West Blue.

  3. I hope it clears up some confusion.

However it changes luffys starting point at the grand line. Did oda change his original world map? In the OG version the GL simply followed east, which it does not as shown in chapter 1056

  4. The directions in the manga chapter should have been SE (Law), S(Kid), SW(Luffy) based on the original world map.

East And South should be bordering Paradise, and North and West bordering The New World.

The map is basically laid out so that if you look at Reverse Mountain as the center of the flat map. The Redline crosses the map SW->NE and Grand Line from NW->SE.
