Garou vs bang was more hype seeing garou but he’s best as the underdog (besides that one fight where he’s clearly not) and seeing him evolve and eventually overcome darkshine was peak hype
Garou vs bang was fucking great too, but it lacked the signature garou dialogue. There was a lack of trash talking and it really bummed me out to see bang so desperately try and save his own disciple who he clearly still cares about. Also, garou was never the underdog and was stronger than bang the entire fight so there was 0 doubt who would win
I liked Bangs fight better mostly because of the connection that Garou and Bang have and their relationship the fight is beginning to represent. Not to say i didn’t like the darkshine fight though, that was a great fight. Murata kills it everytime
Garou vs. Darkshine because it’s technique vs. raw power, I like how one of them finds ways to overcome the other, although in this case it’s mostly technique overcoming raw power.
Looking at these panels just makes you realize how freaking strong Bang is. Like DS is already top tier in S-Class outside of the Big 4, but he still looks a tier lower than Bang. The gap within the S-Class is just so huge.
Before Garou fought Darkshine we never saw Darkshines full potential, hell, we didn’t even see what new moves he had. I’d definitely say Garou vs Darkshine because it showed how terrifying Garou was.
Vs Darkshine because Garou actually participated in it. It was a cool exchange of character revelations between the two.
I thought Bang’s backstory was underwhelming. I generally hate the type of character backgrounds that feature one person changing the character’s entire being overnight, making their existence revolve around appealing to that person’s ways, it’s so cheesy, unrealistic and feels like the character has no agency. And I don’t like that he and Garou didn’t actually get to have a conversation.
Unpopular opinion but I didn’t really like Darkshine vs Garou alot. The dialogue and characterization was great, but the actual action mostly just seemed like: One of them slams into the other and knocks the other one back, repeat.
I think Darkshine. Although Bang vs Gastou was cool they built up expectation for so long that I kinda thought it ended up kinda anticlimatic, If we consider the battle is already finished.
Maybe if I binge read the chapters without weeks of waiting between them I can compare the fights better?
Darkshine cause it showed how important technique is
Also cause Garou was on fire
garou vs darkshine for sure

>!Darkshine because at that time, I wanted to see how powerful Darkshine is and how Garou would deal with him.!<

Darkshine one because he was talking, the fight was both physical and verbal which is more interesting.
With Bang he’s just asleep, he’s mindlessly fighting his master instead of exploring their relationship more and it’s disappointing.
the latter. It wasn’t entirely a contest of force and getting stronger, and I am invested in the relationship of the master and disciple
not asked but garou vs a class still my favorite, not sure why
Over time we will value Bang vs Garou even more, As happened with Tats vs Psykorochi.

Bang’s hands down.
Bang vs Garou is objectively a better fight, but the build up, hype and dialogue of the Darkshine fight makes them equal.

Darkshine because I think the art is better . Not saying bangs fight is badly drawn , just that darkshines was godly drawn .
