They sort of all have their own version of intelligence. Sure in a battle of math, amado gonna flex. But in direct combat sasuke will be able to make a complicated and detailed plan. Before a battle shikamaru can have five times as much of a plan with failsafes and contingencies. While orochimaru is intelligent in jutsu and the ninja world itself, creating and disecting jutsu he sees. Amado doesnt know shit about how reaper death seal works, and sasuke cant make a cyborg, shikamaru couldnt be so split second with plan making and orochimaru couldn’t come up with a 60 step plan. Theyre all geniuses and cant be ranked as they specialize in different versions of intelligence
I’d put Orochimaru over Amado because he’s (presumably) been around longer, and Orochimaru also has combat/physical “intelligence” which we haven’t seen from Amado. Then Shikamaru, then Sasuke.
Shikamaru has battle plans and war general type intelligence combined with a high iq
Sasuke has battle intelligence and good instincts
Orochimaru has both battle intelligence as well as a lot of knowledge about jutsus, anatomy, and other things in the verse

4 different types of intelligence and imo you really can only compare oro and amado with their knowledge. In that regard, amado knows more, but has had more resources to obtain that info, whereas everything oro did was self obtained and discovered

Shikamaru tends to rely heavy on intel before going into a fight, or he usually will hang out in the sidelines and gather intel before acting, Sasuke on the other hand will do this shit while actively participating in a fight. A good example is his Deidara fight. Every move was him figuring out Deidara and finding ways around him. Keep in mind Deidara prepped for Sharingan BS too.
Orochimaru on the other hand excels in all of these areas.

I kind of want to know if he just wanted a child with Mitsuki or if he wanted to kind of “pass the torch” down to a clone of himself. There’s so much about Orochi we don’t know. Shikamaru is Shikamaru. And for Sasuke I’m conflicted on how smart he really is.. it seems he’s always had a lot of power but never was smart enough to use it to its full potential.

3. Orochimaru [IMO please dont roast me] is a good character but he is out of touch in today’s boruto he is good with science and all but when it comes to planning/strategy he is not so good at it. He puts together plans but ends up betraying most (Like Chunin Exam) and got rekt at the end. (like he was unprepared a bit and overconfident of his skills)
But Amado has a certain mystery to him and thats why I think he is the most intelligent and holds up best due to various reasons we saw in anime and manga. Once again this is just my opinion and I may be totally wrong, who knows?

Sasuke is great at analysis. Sasuke is a detective.
Shikamaru’s more of strategy on strategy guy and is certainly wiser about life. Shikamaru is a general.
