I don’t understand why people want the next generation to suffer like the other generations. It’s nice to see that Naruto has achieved his goal.

  1. Naruto’s goal was to bring about Peace, but even though he had achieved that, and bought the other Nations together, there is still the fact that there will always be those who want to destroy that peace. People like Sasuke and Mugino have been out into the world, they’ve seen the issues that other places in the Shinobi world still have to deal with, and despite what Naruto did, not every child has grown up happy, healthy, or even in a good environment. Kawaki is just one good example of this. No matter how many good intentions you have of saving the world and protecting everyone from the bad things in life, the fact of the matter is you can’t save or protect everyone. True peace is an illusion because there will always be people who suffer.

  2. My thoughts exactly when people complain about Boruto. Boruto is growing up in a world where him and friends don’t have to worry about being used as child soldiers. And it falls into a lot of what Naruto went through as a kid, except for the potential of being a soldier at any point.

  3. Because people clearly love edgelords who had a shitty childhood, and clearly wish they have lived it instead…

And seeing someone having a more normal life reminds them of the mundanity of their lives.

PS: I’m sure Obito and Nagato would have gladly accepted to exchange their childhoods with any other…

  4. My parents experienced cultural revolution and famine in China. CCP confiscate their wealth. it was tough.
My grand parents experience Japan invasion of China and pillage of their village. Then post war famine. It was hell.
My great grand parents experience fall of Qing Dynasty and war lord period. They died young.
I experience modern life with no war and disease. Learning to be grateful for my good life.

  5. The naruto fandom is a weird fandom that likes to compare bad childhoods and thinks it’s cool and likes seeing edge lords type characters why do you think the boruto being like eren theory is so popular

  6. I think Boruto childhood started as happy even though he suffered the absence of his father at the beginning but it’s quickly being ruined with this whole karma thing and as we saw at the beginning he will probably witness his father death and the destrucion of his village by the hands of Kawaki who is becoming a brother to him, so if you look for drama I think you’ll find it eventually in the story.

  7. On top of the fact that what the Next Gen kids is exactly why Hashirama and Madara founded Konoha.

And the divide between generations (or lack thereof) was the driving theme for the film and some of the series, so the relative peace the kids have enjoyed is *still* a great source for drama.

  8. The problem people have is that the conflict in boruto is quite boring. You are right Naruto achieved his goal so the series should end. Instead it didn’t, it decide to continue story and it doesn’t present anything to hook audience beside that click bait first episode.

The most interesting thing happened in the show are the Otstsuski but they are the most boring villain in all of series with motivation and personality as bland as piece of paper.

  9. But arent people interested in how the fuck such a good and happy childhood turns into something dark? We dont know how dark but i could imagine it is darker than narutos and sasukes. What if boruto loses everything. Idk man i am hyped

  10. I can’t see your point.
    Naruto didn’t really change anything.
Hashirama and Madara created the village – this is a breakthrough. Hashirama handed out the chakra beasts – this is a breakthrough. What did naruto do? Many kids had a carefree childhood when Sarutobi was hokage. I don’t see how Naruto became a “never been before” hokage. He is stronger than others (no longer). But this power was not used for reform. So the shinobi world will remain a cruel place for a long time.

  11. In the book of ibn khaldon “the lifetime of a nation” he says that nations start with hard times that make strong men, strong men build a strong nation with better and easier times, easier times makes weak men. Weak men destroy the nation and make harder time for next generations… And so on.

Narutos generation made an easier time, the next generation is going to be weak and thus destroy KONOHA.

  12. There is a scene in boruto where sai and sasuke are in the rain village and mention how the rain village is still struggling all the smaller countries are still very much in chaos

  13. Yeah, Naruto achieved peace (Between The Last and the start of Boruto, wich is quite a long time) and then almost nobody liked it. Didn’t Jiraiya also want the same?

  14. It seems like he achieved his goal just for a while.

This is why I would’ve prefered something like The Legend of Korra for Boruto, because I wanted my boy Naruto to live a long and peaceful life.

  15. I just want conflict. Characters need one. It would be boring watching them. In real life, sure, it would be amazing if no one suffered at all. But this is fiction, emotional stuff need to happen. Would we even cheer for Naruto this hard when he became hokage without his childsood filled with loneliness and cruelty? This would be a kid who had a good life, wanted to be hokage and became one. Wow, so exciting.
