Danzo did know how to spot the hitters, gotta give him that.
Ino’s cousin was a badass.
He fucked up Aō (a Byakugan user) in seconds using a curse seal and the Yamanaka body switch technique and was close to killing him before the Mizukage stepped in and saved him.
Fū feels intimidating, unlike Ino. He made a demonstration that the Yamanaka clan secret jutsu can be deadly as fuck if used with intelligence.
He almost killed Ao without any help.
They had the misfortune of going against the worst possible matchup.
Also that one War Arc filler with Edo Torune vs Shino was pretty damn sad
I really felt for Torune’s character. Even though he wasn’t Shino’s blood relative; he didn’t want Shino to be placed in Danzo’s foundation. So Torune volunteered himself in Shino’s place.
This put Shino’s father in a bad position, let alone on the spot; as Danzo demanded a child from the Aburame Clan. Seeing Shino and his father in such a position; Torune volunteered himself up. So Shino would be able to make friends, and have a good life.
So Torune technically saved Shino’s life twice. As Torune/Fu were absorbed, and taken by Obito, to Kabuto. To be sacrificed into the reanimating jutsu. Had Torune not volunteered himself in Shino’s place; Shino would’ve been dead, and not lived a good life. As we know Danzo is a piece of work. (Putting all matters politely.)
The only sad bit was Shino meeting Torune in such an reanimated state. Then having to fight his good friend who was like a brother to him.
I have to re watch Fu’s backstory. I’m hazy on it. ????
Just watched the scene where danzo assigns them as his bodyguards for the summit. “masks are prohibited”… *takes off mask to reveal another mask*
Felt like we finally saw some strong jonin there that werent part of the main cast. Most other random Jonins we saw always got clapped without really showing off any cool stuff.
They were so cool, just wish Ino and Shino got similar combat feats as they did.
their fight with Tobi is my favourite mini-fight (tied with Kabuto vs. Kakashi) of the series. I love the song that plays while he fights them (I think it’s called Unkempt Hair or Ranpatsu), Tobi’s analysis/battle commentary (one of the reasons I love Danzo Vs. Sasuke so much as well). The way Tobi just destroys these guys like they’re nothing. PEAK Badass Orange Mask Tobi!
I just rewatched and another creepy part I love… When Tobi phases through the pillar as he compliments Danzo on his subordinates and his voice echoes. ah!
Yeah, they’re necessarily good, considering that Danzo said they were the top tier of the Root.
Fu – has the Yamanaka abilities, is a long-range sensor, and has high tier taijutsu and tanto skills.
Torune – has all of Aburame abilities, a forbidden jutsu, barrier jutsu, his physical touch is certain death, and has high tier taijutsu and tanto skills.
They were the definition of real anbu members. Yeah they were part of root but in my opinion root is the true anbu of the leaf. They’re truly hidden in the shadows more so than anbu and have more special abilities for assassination.
