sumire annoys me. she’s just there. she doesn’t add much to the scenes in my opinion. i almost forget she exists until she’s in a scene for like 5 minutes. i enjoyed Hinata better. idk why.
The people that do say that must not really pay attention. Her and Hinata don’t even have all that much in common besides being nice and crushing on a main character. Sumire isn’t even shy as we’ve seen her have multiple conversations with Boruto by this point. The show itself has shown and, outright said she has more in common with Naruto due to her upbringing installing a hatred for konoha. People seem to ignore that just because her first couple of scenes gave off Hinata vibes, then just blantly forget that her kindness and flustered aspects come from a different place.
Not just her, a lot of the new gen kids get ignored as clones of they’re parents. Shikadai for example is definitely similar to Shikamaru, but we’ve seen that he has a much more honorable and competitive attitude to being a ninja than Shikamaru did. But no all people see is ” He said “HoW TroUbLeSomE” what a clone!!”
I think calling her a Hinata rip off is valid because of her mannerisms, but imagine a tandem of a Hinata rip off and someone who idolizes Sasuke. At least we won’t get another NaruHina
