What happened was Liv Tyler only signed on for one film then moved onto doing other stuff like appearing in that terrible 9-1-1 show.
If you’re looking for a explanation in the lore, idk what to tell you. They’re bringing back Blonsky, and I haven’t a clue as to whether Liv Tyler would be against returning or not. I don’t see why she couldn’t return.

To be fair, if given a choice between ScarJo and Liv Tyler…. im definitely leaning towards Black Widow. Also, he didn’t just “forget” about Betty. He probably thinks it’s better to not wreck her universe. Same as he did when he left after Age of Ultron
Unpopular Opinion: I didn’t mind the Black Widow / Hulk romance, but I still want Liv Tyler to come back.
I love how the closest to mentioning her that they have gotten since Inc Hulk is calling the Buster Veronica, since it’s like the anti-Betty…

Hot take: I think Nat was into Bruce, but I don’t think Bruce was into Nat. By the end, both Bruce and Hulk have rejected her, without ever explicitly expressing any feelings for her.
See, Nat views Bruce and Hulk as one person. She sees a reflection of herself and that’s why she’s drawn to him. But Bruce and Hulk see themselves more as separate people, and they don’t particularly even like each other. More than that, Nat’s perspective causes her to be an agitating presence for Bruce (which Bruce doesn’t appreciate), and a calming factor for Hulk (which Hulk doesn’t appreciate).
He can’t smash her anyway.
Imagine she comes back in She Hulk, after Bruce *probably* heals himself of Hulk, passes on the mantle to Jen and goes with Betty and live a life of solitude.
I want to remind that she had in this movie the fiancé who was the psychiatrist xd From movie perspective she really didn’t care about him, but well retroactively they can say that she really loved him…
I like to think that Bruce’s dark dark secret guilt is because Betty found him in the Canadian Rockies and in a fit of ultimate rage Hulk ate her.
Downvote times a million probably but here’s an idea, after the unfortunate passing of William hurt, maybe they can have a scene of a funeral of his and Betty is there, maybe she was trying to follow Bruce but could never meet him cuz stuff, thus having last time with her father, being rage full becoming red she hulk 😀 feel like people gonna disagree with this tho lol

Haha literally I am right now watching The Incredible Hulk for the first time since watching it years ago. Starting an MCU Friday with my daughter to introduce her to the series. She’s skeptical but it’s a nice way to spent a night snarking on movies.
I realised that I barely remembered Betty. There’s just not much to the character. So I haven’t really missed her. But who knows, with she hulk and the return of blonsky, they might well bring more characters back.
I’m going to need to re-watch this movie. I thought she died…
