From Kelly with love. I did a video talking about her latest [Black Widow series](https://youtu.be/kHpc8khUruI) and I absolutely loved it. It really is one of the best runs the character ever had, it’s honestly a shame that Marvel cancelled it after only 15 issues.
The art is also gorgeous. Elena Casagrande is a clear highlight as the artist for most of the series, but Rafael de Latorre and Rafael Pimentel definitely hold their own. And Jordie Bellaire’s colors are perfect for this style and series.
One of the first comics I picked up the trade paperback for when I got back into comics last year. Such a great story. Only wish it had kept going for another story arc.
I have very ambivalent feelings about this run, especially its first part. The rest was great but this first arc just didn’t appeal to me. Maybe it was because I had read all of modern Black Widow’s runs just before reading that one. But I really disliked that it was >!yet another story with Natasha being mind-controller/wiped. It’s definitely too common in her comics. I also didn’t buy her loving that guy and the kid, well, the kid I could maybe get, but him? For some time I was waiting for a moment when she would realize that her feelings for him are obviously fake but it didn’t came, unfortunately. I honestly hope these characters won’t appear in the future.!< But the rest was really good, art was great and I really liked Yelena. Definitely not the best run but still rather high in my ranking.
I wholeheartedly agree. I don’t usually enjoy Nat stories but this was so good. Like you say, a massive shame it only got 15 issues.
Big agree. I keep sounding the Kelly Thompson horn. She is the best writer at Marvel right now.
The first arc in particular is perfection. It kinda lost a bit of steam for me after that but it’s still pretty good.

This one is definitely a recommend, check it out.
It seemed to just hit it’s stride and the band finally came together and boom. Over. Heartbreaking. The art was fantastic.
If only her CM book had the same quality as this one….
And those Adam Hughes covers aren’t too shabby either 😉
The first storyline was so sad. 🙁
But yeah, a very good BlackWidow comic!
