  1. I always assumed the door opened because it was the next morning.

Edit: As mentioned by /u/mCahill389, a truck was pulling into the compound at the exact moment Peter was leaving. And an earlier scene with Karen has her mentioning that the doors will remain closed till the following morning.

I think he was just right place right time when the door opened, but that’s just me.

  2. I took it more as a comparison to Thomas Edison and other genius level brains. Edison reportedly took over 1,000 attempts to invent the lightbulb. Most people would quit anything after 10 to 15 unsuccessful attempts. The fact that not only did Peter try over 200 times, but that he logged each attempt systematically so he could keep track of what worked and what didn’t shows not only his intelligence but his determination.

  3. After watching the LockPickingLawyer for a while, I can say that while impressive, he was on the inside of the secure area, with full access to the mechanism. He also had an advanced AI with him to help analyze the thing,

Also, the entire situation he was in resulted from Peter being a dummy, since he didn’t actually need to fight Vulture there. All he had to do was pick up the stones from the roof of the truck and Vulture would have been locked inside until they reached the storage facility and someone noticed the wing-suit attached to the truck.

  4. Didn’t he brute force it open…like isn’t it just luck that the right code was the 247th one? He is a genius but isn’t the 247th attempt just luck?

  5. More like his luck, he did just say in the scene before that he’d have to try every sequence.

  6. Simultaneously a very funny reference to Douglas Adams! Just subtract 205 from 247. That’s how smart Peter is!
