As much as I enjoyed how it all ended, the payoffs to Drax’s arc and Hulk’s rematch feel like missed opportunities. What are some similar missed moments for you from the Infinity era?

  1. Scott and Vision talking, I just want to know what banter there was. Vision: “I’m awfully sorry Mr.Lang, I had no choice.” Scott: “Yeah don’t worry about it, how does it feel when you go through somebody?” ????

  2. Would’ve liked to have seen more of the Warriors Three in Thor Ragnorok.

Also would’ve liked to see the MCU version of Spider-Man’s origin (yeah we all know it, but I’d like to see their take on it, maybe could’ve been done in an opening credits sequence like The Incredible Hulk).

I’d would liked to see Steve Rogers adjusting to the modern world in the Avengers. Waking up and it’s 70 years later must’ve been jarring.

  3. Hulk got his ass beat before he got Smart. What would have been the point of a one on one rematch? I mean yeah they could have written it differently but it’d make no sense with what happened to him in IW.

Same with Drax, Ronan beat his ass and Ronan is no where near as strong as Thanos.

  4. Endgame really needed a more solid closing note for Natasha. Her tenure as the leader of the Avengers in the post-snap world and her self-sacrifice for the Soul stone were both overlooked and underapreciated

  5. I’ve seen a lot of people post that they feel like drax’s arc wasn’t complete because he didn’t get to go up against thanos again. But thanos was an afterthought for him in guardians of the Galaxy 1. Ronan was the one who killed his family and who he hated. Every time he mentioned Ronan he was filled with rage. When Ronan was gone he was like well I guess I better be angry at somebody else now so he casually mentioned that he wants to kill thanos.

Now Hulk I do believe deserved some sort of payback in end game. He got to do the snap that brought everyone back which is obviously a huge deal. But I felt like he deserved some sort of combat revenge.

  6. I do think we should have seen Hulk take another crack at Thanos. I honestly think he should have been the one to fight Thanos at the end of Infinity War.

But I’m okay with Drax not getting his take on Thanos. I think it could be a really good story for him. He’s spent decades planning his vengeance for his family and now he’s lost the opportunity. Where does he go from here? What does he have left to live for? Sort of like Inigo Montoya’s arc in Princess Bride: “I have been in the revenge business so long, I have no idea what to with the rest of my life”. A lot of potential for Drax’s character here.

  7. I feel like the Hulk thing would’ve been done a little better if they showed Thanos wielding the power stone first, which accomplishes the same hulk fear dynamic we see in Endgame, and then give us a twenty-five second rematch in Endgame of an enraged hulk pushing the limits of his strength forcing Thanos into a corner similar to how Captain Marvel did. It does feel like a wasted potential there.

My biggest missed opportunity is everything that has to do with Spider-Man. I think they’ve done an okay job, and I love Tom Holland as Spider-Man, at this point I feel they’ve mostly forgotten that Spider-Man is an inherently tragic character and that the mask and crime-fighting was always sort of his escape from his own life. Andrew Garfield’s spider-man movies played peter parker’s tragedy waaaaay better than the MCU IMO.

  8. I would like to know more about Thor’s post-Age of Ultron investigation. It was set up in that movie as being a substantive plotline but it’s wrapped up in like one line of dialogue in Ragnarok in which he confirms he didn’t find anything.

  9. for me it is the fact we never heard too much about the “New Avengers” that was lead by Cpt America and Widow.. They dont talk about the missions they did really or really much of any thing else that went on with them in Banners absence and such

  10. They would probably settle for it being cut out. It probably happened during the massive battle at the end but chose not to include it. We might as well settle for it happening off screen

  11. yeah drax should have gotten a stab in on thanos. perhaps distracting him long enough for tony to get the snap going or something. maybe Hulk could have helped thus getting his rematch.

  12. Banner on the run from Ross and the military. I’d throw in his relationship with Betty as well since they literally dropped it for a random-ass hookup with Natasha.

I know Norton and Marvel’s falling out, as well as universals rights to solo Hulk films got in the way of continuing this, but we never got a satisfying conclusion to Banners journey of a man on the run whos trying to rid himself of a monster he created, to a well respected member of the Avengers.
