The revelation at the end of the chapter is more dramatic, but this is my favorite part of Ch 75

  1. There’s a very happy part of my soul that just…loves this.

It’s that tough facade before the bawling storm. Anya tried to do it…but then she felt it wash over her. And then Mama’s right there, all too happy to protect you from the scary mean people of the world.

Who wouldn’t feel safe with someone who could kill most of the people around you? And knowing how loyal Yor is? Safety incarnate.

Plus who don’t wanna hug their mama if she’s a nice person and you just went through something scary?

  2. I like how consistently realistic Anya is betrayed. Once she’s out of direct danger and is safe with Yor, (because as she said, she’s fine cause mama will protect her), it all hits her and she starts sobbing, seeking comfort in Yor.

  3. God did my heart melt when I saw this

It also further adds to how amazingly Anya is written

Despite her superpowers, despite being thw protagonist, despite pullibg it together & somehow managing to gwt through that situation, at the end of the day she’s extremely well written

Most manga characters probably would’ve just focused on the “we did it and came out safe” part of the situation

But Anya acts like any person (especially a child) would who went through an extremely stressful situation where they had to pull it together under massive stress:

The adrenalin rush goes down and there’s a situation of emotional outburst & relief

  4. There were so many messed up minds these last couple of chapters. I’m kind of relieved she started crying. It isn’t good to hold in that much emotion. And most definitely not with Anya’s powers.

That aside I already see Anya studying psychology, to help her proces all those messed up minds.

  5. to me it’s like Anya used to think about Yor as her entertainment (well she did say that it is exciting to have an Assassin as her mom, right?) but never thought Yor to be her mother figure.

But on this chapter, clearly Anya sees Yor as a mother figure. As her mother who loves her unconditionally. Beautiful chapter.

We had Yor’s wholesome moment with the Forgers, and now Anya… I wonder if we’d have any Loid wholesome moments with the Forgers in the future

  6. Anya can read minds and can logically conclude she is safe if they do not think of intentionally causing harm.

But she’s still a little girl, and the whole experience of being a hostage with your life in real danger would traumatize anyone frankly.
