[Art] I’m convinced Murata was a painter during the Renaissance Period who later got reincarnated as a Japanese person (One Punch Man)
That’s a weird LN title
The way he draws the destruction of city z has so many fucking details.
what am I looking at lol
Reminded me of Hellstar Remina
Murata is one of the mangakas of all time
HOLY DEEP-FRIED CHICKEN THIGHS.
How does one even do this?! I actually have no idea how someone can make art like this.
Man Murata can portray cosmic horror perfectly especially with those GODly color pages in the newest chapter
That doesn’t seem much like Renaissance art to me, although I guess you could make comparisons to the interest in light seen in the Northern Renaissance. It actually seems much more consistent with the values and characteristics of the previous movement, International Gothic.
God is implied to be a weird ass planet out in the universe here?
Reminds me of Berserk for some reason
His Mona Lisa kind of painting is probably Fubuki ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
This doesn’t look one bit like renaissance art.
Murata is good but can we stop with the hyperbolic titles like this? It seems to imply that there aren’t any good modern artist, let alone Japanese ones. I’m pretty sure if you look outside of manga there are plenty of artist within the same spectrum as him
Really makes you feel for mangaka like Miura. Totally fine with Berserk taking so long to come with new chapters, when you had museum-worthy work on every page.
When artists were using templates and assistants, this guy was still doing everything the brunt of his work by hand.
I wonder if the thing on the bottom of the image was based on the Pillars of Creation
Renaissance painters didnt make stuff like this. It was more about the human body and biblical* god and stuff.
Getting strong Remina vibes from this pic. Fortunately for the characters this is from a less bleak manga.
I cant imagine the skill in ink but also in photoshop he does for these images
He wasn’t this good though. You can see most of his progress in the manga Eyeshield 21. Look at how the art progressed throughout the time. The story is also a huge plus!
what chapter is this ?
Go read an OG Boichi
Fact that i once tried drawing too much detail like murata for my artwork(now stolen actually in school????) it gave me brain ache and i had to rest at home for 2 weeks.
Of course! He is so good at art because he used to be white it makes sense now.
GOD
Have you seen the new chapter? It’s actually crazy with the color panel he did
Awesome ????
I’m pretty sure I’ve read the whole manga I’m up to the monster part and don’t think I’ve ever seen this?
Isekai
Murata really should be a god of art.
ngl when i scrolled in my feed i had to check the sub cause at first glance i thought it was art based off junji ito’s [hellstar remina](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/22/7c/15/227c1535cab05c3e19d1199414da1870.jpg)….well, before the [planet eating](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C2T4vU8W8AEJjk6.jpg) anyway
my cat is meowing
Do you guys think that Murata is Miura-level in terms of intricate detail and overall art?
yet one punch man isnt even in the top 10 selling mangas in the year
The guy is good but don’t compare him to a Renaissance painter.
