  2. Rip agravity boys, you had a better run than the most, and were absolutely delightful.

Also Hardboiled cop and dolphin, kinda shame you couldn’t find your footing but at least you left on a right leg.

  3. Zipman wasn’t this year?? Man wtf is time anyways.

Hunters Guild got the most potential but the pacing is god awful. Like the aesthetic is there but maybe the author need more experience as a storyteller

  4. As a reminder: Jump has cancelled the same quantity of new series in prior years as well. You only notice now because Viz’s “we’re going to license all Shonen Jump series” mandate means you get to see a series as it is born and dies.

And to be fair, I can understand why some of these series failed. Red Hood had a good concept, but fucked up the execution. Neru was fine, but didn’t really have an outlying goal for the MC aside from “get strong”. Phantom Seer had good art… but that was all it had going for it.

  5. This is why I wait to start reading new Jump series. I am a subscriber via the Jump app, but I have no say in series popularity like the Japanese fans do so I hate to start reading stuff and then it gets axed. I feel bad for the authors if more than anything.

To this day, the series that broke my heart to see it canceled was Psyren. That story and world was so amazing, but for some reason it never got popular.

  6. Agravity Boys hurts the most out of all of this, honestly. But Neru had such beautiful art that I hope they’re back for another series at some point, it got cancelled before it had a chance to get going and was rushed… but I’d read anything they came out with again for the art alone.

  7. In case anyone else is wondering why I’m doing this in November, I’m going by the cover date for the magazine.

You can read more about cover dates in publication [here. ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cover_date)

  8. I was really interested in candy flurry. It seemed like it was drawing inspiration from one piece but with a different setting. Was it the greatest thing out their, no, but I enjoyed it.

  9. Feels real bad about Candy Flurry, Tsumugi was great.
RIP Neru and Nine Dragons, I dug them.
Agravity Boys hit a slump, but it was fun. Red Hood had some great panels, so hopefully the artist comes back stronger.

  10. Candy Flurry, Cop and Dolphin and Hunters Guild were all manga I liked and I was really sad to see them axed so soon

Neru and Phantom Seer I absolutely adored and my heart breaks knowing they’ll never get 100 episodes of anime like they deserved

  11. I was enjoying Hard Boiled Cop and Neru.

Some of these were more original than some of the newer debuts.

But we gained jewels like Dandadan and Sakamotp Days.

I thank the efford of the mangakas, but this revolving door giveus more and better entertainment
