[ART] 14 years apart but the same iconic library scene from two different manga but the same mangaka (Onani Master Kurosawa and The Story Between a Dumb Prefect and a High School Girl with an Inappropriate Skirt Length )

This author makes a lot of reference to their previous works, and I believe that all of their manga share a single timeline too?

Chapter 38 of Dumb Prefect caught my eye and of course it is reminiscent of the famous library scene from Onani Master Kurosawa.

There’s something very real and touching about the library scenes in both manga – it really builds the relationship between the two without feeling very forced and using very little words. It’s a really wholesome and sweet friendship portrayal.

I also should add that Katsura Ise was involved in Kurosawa’s writing but not Dumb Prefect (although he seems to promote it a lot on Twitter). Yokota however is involved in both series, one as an artist and the latter as both artist and writer.

I still think the drawing style in Kurosawa is the best I’ve ever seen.
