  1. Third panel is Celeborn Teleporno, artwork from Fantasy Flight Game.

Celeborn was a Prince of Doriath who fought the Long Defeat for thousands of years together with his homie, lover, and friend Galadriel. Even though some of Celeborn’s ‘friends’ hated her and eventually abandoned their friendship with Celeborn, he didn’t care, he loved her too much to care about the haters. ‘Galadriel’ is not her real name, it’s her nickname, it means ‘Maiden Crowned with Gleaming Hair’, she bound up her hair as a crown when fighting; this nickname was given to her by Celeborn who was being impressed by her strength and beauty. He lost almost his entire family through wars against Morgoth and Sauron, only Elrond and Galadriel and his grandchildren gad remained, and of those three grandchildren one of them decided to become mortal and die. He loved Middle-earth more than everything and he was willing to do anything for Middle-earth. But eventually for love of Galadriel he left his most beloved Middle-earth forever.

Fourth panel is Beren and Luthien in Tol Galen, artwork by SaMo-art.

Beren was a human Prince of Dorthonion. He lost his entire family. He became total vegetarian and only killed evil beasts. He didn’t fear death, but chain, and he escaped both death and chain. He fell in love with Luthien Tinuviel the Princess of Doriath. He was tasked by Luthien’s father to steal a jewel from the Dark Lord’s crown to win her hand in marriage. ”For little price do elven-kings their daughters sell – for gems and rings and things of gold! If such thy will, thy bidding I will now fulfill. On Beren son of Barahir thou hast not looked the last, I fear.’ He went through Sauron and Morgoth and Death for love of Luthien. The Sundering Seas between them lay, and yet at last they met once more. And long ago they passed away, in the forest singing sorrowless.

  2. A day may come when we forsake our oaths and break all bonds of fellowship but it is not this day.

An hour of wolves and shattered shields when the world of men comes crashing down. But it is not this day. Today we fight Rise Men…

  3. Cinema Therapy did a great video on how Aragorn is a fantastic male role model as he doesn’t succumb to the tendencies of modern toxic masculinity. It’s highly recommended, as are most of their episodes. Check it out [here](https://youtu.be/pv_KAnY5XNQ).

  4. I was reading the scene in Return of the King where Sam finds Frodo stripped naked and at one point it reads ‘his naked skin was scarlet in the light of the lamp above’ and for half second I pictured him like with perfect abs and sculpted features with like studio level perfect lighting. So sam just had to take a moment to go “dayum”
