shouldn’t this be happening soon since terano south is defeated and rokuhara tandai is without a leader now? and nearly all the higher ups from bonten are from there (haitani brothers, kakucho, mochi) so it would make sense for it to happen in the near future. just leaves me wondering how takeomi will join them, but let me know your theories!
I’ve been bringing up a lot recently that my prediction was bonten would come to tuition, glad to see others also have picked up on that idea as the last chapters have unfolded.
for those that have forgotten, go back a check the roster of bonten, one character that stands out in the crowd to me is takeomi now that we know who he is and I’m really interested to see what makes him end up there. (possibly purely off survival, that kick he received from mikey might scare him into joining)
and like you said OP, if south is indeed dead then rokuhara will likely merge with kanto manji gang to form bonten.
In most cases in the manga, whenever a gang loses the the battle, they are taken in by the winning gang. Moebius into Toman. Valhalla into Toman. Koko and inupi (maybe some black dragons goons) into Toman. Unless they had another person to follow because other reasons.
The three deities battle may end in the same way with them following the new top dog Mikey. As before it, Senju, Mikey, and South were seen as equal forces.
I’d also assume that Bonten is full of characters with no other future than crime which is why they are in Bonten. Takeomi never left it. Then there’s Sanzu and the Haitani with likely bad homes lives that set them to crime forever. Kakucho followed Izana and doesn’t know anything else than following and crime. And koko is there for money. Mochi I assume is also somewhere mixed due to not a lot of backstory.
Overall I’d assume they just join Rokuhara and become more serious crime as the top new gang in Tokyo especially if South and Senju were murdered in Bonten timeline. But with the changes and new chapters, who knows if we will have Bonten as we know it.
