  1. You could touch that up and make it virtually invisible by yourself. I have 3 pair of Edmonds, all same style in 3 colors and while I do make an effort to keep them nice, a mark here or there adds some character. Lol. Give it a quick touch up right in the scratch and then a quick buff and you will never notice it.

  2. I may be off, but it looks like a deep scratch that will not buff out. I would take it to an expert cobbler or a shoe restoring workshop for some TLC before you do anything that could make their work harder. Will not be cheap, but leather dress shoes should be something that I would not try to fix without the help of a professional, because you can make more damage that you know.

  3. Get you a nice chamois and a horse hair brush to go along with the polish. Use an old t shirt to apply the polish, then the chamois, finish it off with the horsehair brush and Bobs your uncle.

  4. Do you have shoe polish that color? If so, fine sand paper to smooth it out and re-polish. YouTube how to shine shoes if you need to. Had to do this many times on my boots while in the military.

  5. I once read somewhere that you should use a combination of leather cream first to “re-dye” the scratch and then polish to seal it in and shine it up. Leather cream alone will wear away more easily and polish alone is too waxy to really pentrate the leather. I’ve used this combinations on my shoes and they come out looking like new.

Or maybe I’ve been brainwashed by Big Shoe Repair….

  6. I will never ever understand why people think shoes should stay clean and pristine. Do people understand the purpose of a shoe? I think my biggest question is who is vilifying people for having dirty or creased shoes?? Why is this something we care about!??

  7. Got a small scratch on my leather dress shoes at a NYE party that i went with my sister in law’s friend who also is my teacher in the community college im attending because i was found using a false law degree so i was fired. So, how can i remove/repair?

  8. They are shoes they will get dirty scratches and heck even worn out the leather will dry the soles will wear down they are shoes. Did you have black pants on with your brown shoes

  9. You won’t believe me, and I’ll probably get downvoted, but you can use some redneck engineering and spray a bit of WD-40 on there. (It works for scratches on my wooden floor, and i couldn’t believe it either.)

  10. This is a channel that I have had good luck with. [https://youtu.be/aTZKWwTh9yI](https://youtu.be/aTZKWwTh9yI)

This likely happened from opening a door into your foot. Happens a lot

  11. Try using a very fine sandpaper (or borrow a fingernail sanding board) very carefully sand it down flat. You’ll have a bright spot but we can fix that by slightly dyeing the raw leather with shoe stain or I’d consider using the last of your morning coffee after it’s sat awhile or even a brown magic marker. When dry, polish and buff as normal. Slight blemishes do give leather it’s warmth and character so don’t feel bad if it’s not perfect. After all, none of us are perfect.
