Ngl even I, a F2P, got bored of national, especially that I have no attachment to the characters, I’d rather be called “emotionally baited” and have fun with my characters than play the most boring characters because the team comp is f2p and does high damage.
Most “theorycrafted” teams are there to help f2p to clear the Abyss, but for whales and even for f2p after you get high investment characters you can play almost whatever you want and clear the content anyways.
National Teams are boring though. The problem is that mhy’s stupid policy of reverse powercreep (and everyone who enables them to do that) ensures that you’re going to see National Teams do Abyss Clears at every single patch til the end of time.
It’s going to always be Team 1: 4 Archons, Team 2: National.
If mhy had bothered to make characters that are actually decent or even comparable to the classic National Teams then maybe things would be better. Maybe then, you would be able to use whatever funny team and clear the Abyss just as effectively instead of spending money to get Constellations just for them to barely reach the power of a C0 patch 1.0 4 star character
Powercripling can actually ruin this game. Dendro reactions prolonged lifespan with quite op damage, but without good characters/new mechanics Fontaine will become the downfall.
Non-dendro characters in 3.+ are all experimental, but undertooned, especially Dehya.
I have no problem with people who plays META or does who Plays for Waifu/Husbando but I do have one with those who look down on others for enjoying whatever shit they like and seems to be few in the comments here.
Some people probably thought I recommended that team for him cause I am Meta slave, I did just simply because I enjoyed playing it(but wasn’t the case with my friend which is fine too)
its such a lovely team comp with rotation smooth as butter. I know why whales hate nationals, because it requires little bit of rotation knowledge, but “thinking” why would a whale do that, when they can just unga bunga with their c6 r5 and still clear everything fast.
I am a F2P but even I feel poor if I try to play national the way it’s usually played. I very much enjoy mono pyro with a hybrid kazuha so I play the Bennett XL Kazuha core but rarely put XQ/any hydro in the last slot. Trying to vape XL’s hits in AOE when XQ is single target feels horrible.
National is quite involved to use. It generally uses all 4 of your team’s bursts upfront which means you invest HEAVILY into a fight whether the enemies need that much or not. Even one burst is a lot when everything needs to be up at the same time to work.
Of course the power is there; that’s why it’s so popular but it requires a boat load of babysitting that other “late game” teams don’t need.
It’s a perfect early game team to teach you the importance of team rotations and energy funnelling. However, you should realistically be comfortable enough to be more flexible with your character and rotation choices after a year or so with just as much success.
this goes to show that hoyo really need to make other abyss content rather than just time limited dungeon. For instance, dehya would be good if the challenge is to survive for as long as possible
Tbh i still don’t understand the sciences of the national teams and at this point i’m afraid to ask so i think that explains why I prefer unga bunga hypercarries

“the challange of abyss is not to run ut down with the most meta shit possible, its about making whatever character you have/want to play work…”
~the God of Wisdom, probably

I’ve never used National team. Not a fan of the 4* broken characters.

You play nationals because you’re f2p, I play nationals because I just want to press Q to win. We are not the same.
I literally try everything before I turn to use bennet.
F2Ps when they see c6 R5 whales that cant clear the abyss: imagine spending over 1000$ and you cant even clear the only end game content

After getting Ayato, I use National more than ever so I still find it fun
My teams always have either C4 Ayaya or C4 nahida

Literally me but I’m f2p
Literally how i feel when i dust off my childe national after playing my c6 ayato and 1 tapping everything with his dmg alone.
I could never go back to childe national it does feel weak after you try true power
As a whale I have not used National team at all.
Being F2P is like playing a demo version of your favorite character.
my balnatio has never dissapointed.
it’s tunned perfectly for the rotations.
Yuck! Friendship teams are the way to go! Imma fight the oceanid with the power of friendship!
I actually never understood what the national team was.

ngl when i still like ar50~, raiden national carry me pretty good until i got kazuha, then i use hyper raiden

wish to know how whale players feel
