  1. To be fair how can any game compare to Farming Simulator, it’s peak as far as gaming goes.

  2. As a Farming Simulator fan, I’m mildly offended at the notion that a game must suck if it has fewer players than Farming Sim.

  3. I love how Farming Sim has become so big. Even 2 iterations ago it used to be this weird niche genre that your friends’ creepy uncle would try to explain to you at some family BBQ, but look at it now. Amazing <3

  4. you have a lot of shooters to choose in steam, but realistic farmers simulators, theres only one

  5. I’ve legit been playing since Farm Sim 13 and it is so great seeing it go from some small ass game from an unknown developer to beating the big AAA game of the year 2 games in a row now

  6. Many people are probably on origin because you can pay 5 bucks for the 10 hour trial and see the shit show and leave it at that.

  7. Farming simulator is actually a very good game. I’ve never been particularly interested in farming. However I picked up FS19 on sale for the crack and wow, I was hooked!
A lot more to it than shooty shooty bang bang.

  8. Origin has way more players than Steam. Buying it on Steam made no sense because it costs more and you still have to open the EA client to play.

  9. This is a bad comparison, you are underestimating farming sim as in “how this farming sim has more players”

This is a natural expectation of farming simulator always has been, its a huge game, its more played than most online games out there.

  10. Second time I’ve seen a meme like this. It doesn’t even make sense. Obviously farming simulator is popular considering they keep making em every year. Not everyone plays shooters.

  11. Keep in mind that’s only Steam. A lot of people, like myself, bought it through Origin.

You have to have Origin and keep it up to date in order to play it, even if you bought it on Steam. It briefly launches Origin when you start it through Steam, and if you’re not using Origin regularly, that could mean you go to launch BF2042 and have to wait while Origin updates. For this reason it’s just less hassle to buy it through Origin.

And a lot of people still buy through Origin because it was only within the last year or so that EA started putting their games back on Steam. So a lot of people might not know it’s on Steam.

  12. People gonna hate me for this but, battlefield is mostly played on origin and you can buy it on epic games too

  13. I like how this post conveniently ignores a bunch of data that doesn’t fit their narrative.

  14. Or is it proof who still plays games? The 20-30+. Us old people (lol) don’t want to deal with the 7 year Olds because we have our own. Why play a game more stressful that real life?

  15. Why on earth are you comparing those two?

Should dark souls be fixed because it has less players than Skyrim?

  16. Is it from one platform only? If it’s from Steam, I’d bet most BF2042 players aren’t on that.

  17. Not at all a wake up call. This is literally just steam numbers lol.

Game is also on ps5 Xbox series x, and origin.

  18. Why? They already sold the games, they will just dump it and in a few month announce the next game that they will get you to buy half finished, and you will all have forgotten and still buy whatever they will make next.

  19. Farming simulator is huge tbf & DICE has a long track record of poor releases. However, as a long time DICE fan, they also have an incredible track record of turning those shoddy releases into wonderful products & I’ll believe in it til I see different. Haven’t bought the game yet as you gotta come in polished if you want a day 1 purchase from me, but I fully intend to buy the game after a price cut and another patch or two.
