If your store is like this, you probably need to consider just having a order screen at the front (like they do at mcdonalds) and having an employee gather everything. You could store a lot more supplies as well.
Theres no way this can be cost effective, I mean I guess the plastic can be re-used but spam is so cheap who the hell cares if a few get lifted off the shelves.
Oh damn, I just saw a bunch of those (empty) on the sidewalk a few blocks from the grocery store. I thought it would have been hygiene products, razors and such, not SPAM
