Not everyone is meant to be an author

  1. For anyone that’s likes romance and fantasy books this series is one I would recommend. I have read ever book in this series that has been released so far(18). It’s a great easy read. And if you don’t think its your cup of tea just don’t read it. I don’t understand the point of saying they aren’t meant to be an author when obviously people have read their work and enjoyed.

  2. If this is a real book…I want to read it. I’m nearly done with the last book of the Lightbringer series by Brent Weeks (Fantastic series by a fantastic author) and would love something to read now that I’m out of books to read by Brent.

  3. [Anyone can become a USA Today Bestselling Author for a few hundred bucks.](http://web.archive.org/web/20170427044425/http://insideindie.weebly.com:80/case-1-the-bestseller-list-box-set-gig.html)

Or at least you used to be able to. This may be why USA Today excluded self-published ebooks from their bestseller lists.

  4. I think it sounds awesome.

I mean how did Twilight even sell, what was the premise? Boringly average girl with nothing to offer the world gets knocked up by a vampire?

  5. This is… kind of tame for the Urban Magic book genre. The alpaca is a little weird, but the rest of it is always like “Dani thought she was normal, but one day finds out she’s the descendent of the Queen of the Fae with a destiny all her own! With the help of a werewolf, a half-gnome berserker and an intelligent mouse, she’ll do everything she can to reclaim her life and save the world in the process”

Shit, I should write this stuff.

  6. My dream is to be an author..to write something maybe not the next great American novel but something a lot of people can enjoy and get something out of

    Then I see this ….

*I’d never be able to write something as glorious as this*

    Sigh

  7. I’m going to have to say “bravo to this person who actually wrote a book” while I sit here thinking about starting someday maybe, but being “too busy” or afraid my idea isn’t original enough. How many humans have written a published book in the span of our race? This author is in a pretty elite club that I have no business criticizing.

  8. Well, I actually disagree with OP – there’s nothing wrong with ANYONE or EVERYONE being an author…

…I think the issue here is “not every author should get *published*”.

  9. Yeah, some people aren’t meant to be authors. You, probably.

RJ Blain on the other hand manages a 4.28/5 out of 34,108 goodreads reviews. She’s probably chosen the right job for herself.
