Fun idea: in an alternate timeline, as the last Z Fighter Trunks has to stop the revival of Majin Buu. But he can’t do it alone– so Bulma does something drastic, and re-activates Dr. Gero’s androids.

I completely agree. Future Trunks in the ToP with the Androids and Frieza would’ve made for some great interactions.
Maybe his wished would’ve been to revive his timeline but when he wins instead of 17, he decided to revive the rest of the universe and for his noble wish, his timeline gets revived by Zeno
I like to think of what would happen if master roshi fought the saiyans, I mean he literally did nothing until the TOP, so seeing more of roshi would be cool
This is so cool and really love the idea. Trying to decide if trunks could do it or if the character flaw of his fathers stubbornness would finally take hold of him and get in his way of doing what is needed. It would be really nice to add some darkness to a really pure and innocent character and give him that character growth he kinda needs. Really cool idea man!

If it’s the future androids it wouldn’t make a lick of sense narratively.
First of all they’re way weaker than mainline so they’d be useless fodder.
Secondly the conflict with the future androids is tonely more serious, trunks himself is very serious and would honestly never do this. Really betrayed the trauma he’s gone through IMO.
– Bulma would never do this lol. There’s no way she’s reactivate some androids that killed all her friends and family and made her life a living hell. She’s way way way more likely to just make a time machine lol. Or build a space ship and get back to namek and use their balls.
This is more of a Goku type of move at best. Not just to reference what Goku had done in the ToP (reviving Frieza) but it fits with his character because:
– he’s befriended almost every villain he’s encountered anyway
– he’s pure of heart (in the Taoist sense of the word) so he’s generally not effected by the world around him he’s pure and unsullied by the evils of the world. So he’s easily forgive wrongdoing. Trunks not so much. Dude has PTSD n everything.
