  1. You know I feel like people don’t give Giyuu enough credit for letting Nezuko live, the other pillars would have probably killed her with Tanjiro, Giyuu really has a kind heart makes him one of the best Hashiras

  2. Keeping in mind that everyone has their demons and vices, showing kindness to anyone and everyone, whilst sticking true to your beliefs. There is misfortune everywhere you go, letting it affect your path is your decision and yours only.

  3. It is about becoming strong as a person. It is about maturing since he goes through training and becomes much less indecisive. It is also about how important you should show kindness to everyone.

  4. There are some things out of our control but you can choose how you move forward.. It takes courage to live on and not drown in hate and despair. Even the worst of demons were once human, but in the end they can choose to redeem themselves and be born again.

  5. Don’t mess with siblings as their bonds are strong enough to break your puny attempts.

Also, know that people tend to bad mouth you when you have your back turned. [Giyu] ????

  6. Not all stories need to have a moral. At least I didnt care looking for it. Sometimes its about the journey. But you can interpret it as “strength through perserverence” or “passing the torch.”

As a side note, this was my favorite beginning arc. So many Shonen manga’s start out with the character immediately being good at something, a natural, or gifted with something. Tanjiro starts from the bottom and works hard to even learn the basics. It takes him years which never happens for a shonen main character. Hell, from then on Tanjiro will and does take actual time to train.

  7. Actually I feel it’s speaking of the fact that even in death, those who died can influence those who are left behind- looking at what we know of Tanjiro’s family, likely those who died would not have wanted him to kill his sister, and he was brought up that way so he REALLY didn’t want to. Then Sabito and Makomo died while wanting to pass on the sense of regret of not being strong enough to pass that hurdle and protect others, which Tanjiro did. It gets murkier with the demons but I believe one of the main morals is an eastern belief rooted in ancestor worship that our lives should enhance the next generation and we do not necessarily seek to live forever
