During the Blitz arc Wally meets a version of Barry Allen from before he died and he says “this is one of the hardest Days of your life. The first of three” and presumably that Barry will be there for Wally on all 3 occasions.
This is the first day- the time Zoom caused the death of Wally’s children
The second could be argued to be during rogue war- when Reverse Flash and Zoom teamed up and Barry appeared to help Wally against the duo
Presumably Johns was setting up a 3rd occasion but due to Barry’s resurrection we never saw it (mainly because it wouldn’t have the same impact on readers as Barry is now alive once again) and of course due to flashpoint erasing Wally and burying this plot line even more.
Do you think there is a chance we will see this 3rd day, will a writer retroactively say the 3rd day was during Heroes in Crisis? Maybe one day we will see the 3rd day and we as readers will get one last chance to say goodbye to pre crisis Barry. Or what’s more likely, we will never see the conclusion to this plot line
This may be conflicting since this was revealed in flash rebirth 09 where barry came back to life, But I think Jai ruining wally (as teased by thawne) would’ve been wally’s third worst day in his life.
That said, I doubt that will ever happen, since Jai isn’t going to become evil and second, Barry is alive.
I was really hoping we’d get the third day during Flash Forward. Wally choosing to sit in the chair leaving his family hut still saving them, it would’ve been the perfect time for reassurance from his uncle.
I don’t think there will ever be a moment that suitable again. And it’s hard to imagine whatever it originally would’ve been since due to retcons and such Barry was alive shortly after and could just be there without time travel.
This would also be the case if my FF idea happened but at least there you have Multiverse sheningans to excuse it.
