To me it sounds so stupid that I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a joke. I don’t know, the name, the description, the powers and the motivation seems to me like something a racist would write to make fun of people of color.
I’ll go first since this will probably be an..interesting thread. Not a fan, and as someone who picks up all but the static Milestone books, this leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Id like some serious discussion about this too that just doesn’t devolve into name calling or calling the isms. And I hate using this argument since it’s been so hijacked by bad faith actors, but srsly this wouldn’t fly for any singular race replacing the BIPOC part, no?
Edit: also yes I do understand what the artists were getting at, but the any means necessary thing doesn’t exactly help the overall implications someone might draw from this
