The beautiful artwork by Bilquis Evely and Mat Lopes left me utterly gobsmacked and speechless for a good few minutes. On another Sandman note, Evely and Lopes produced breathtakingly astonishing work as the art team on the extraordinary **The Dreaming (2018-2020)**, written by Simon Spurrier.

I wonder how the book will play with modern audiences. It’s very “of its time”. Very 90’s and very dark.
What do you call this kind of art style?
Is this a reprinted copy of the original ’80s/’90s Sandman stories?
I’m very happy with this. Bilquis Evely drew some of the best sandman things, but I was always a bit sad that we never got to see her draw Morpheus before now.
Dave mckean is still the best sandman cover artist hands down and charles vess is a close 2nd.
This is still nice just not as nice
Every time I see good-looking Sandman art it makes me sad that most issues of the actual comic look much worse.
Always love seeing contour hatching. I need to practice doing it more.
I’m stunned by this cover. What a wonderful mix of colours. It looks so sureal. The aesthetic fits the world of Sandman perfect!
Need to finish this. I’m about 6 or 7 volumes in and it’s just so long. There are some highs, but nothing that really wants to make me keep reading.
