Between Bendix and now a leviathan out of all mythological creatures appearing, there’s no way that it’s not intentional.
And I’m not saying that Taylor is doing it with a mean-spirited intent, maybe Bendis himself finds it funny.
This is all just setup to the masterstroke punchline where Bendix attempts to stop Jon from thwarting him by aging him down with red Kryptonite. Global outrage ensues.

Well, if Bendix is shown unable to understand the concept of bisexuality, i will believe he is a reference to Bendis
May be an unpopular opinion here, but Tom Taylor is possibly the least clever writer in comics. Or at least the least clever in relation to how funny he thinks he is. He seems like he solely writes for Twitter.
