This is from the Vampironica miniseries. It’s five issues. I really, really enjoyed the first three but the last two weren’t as good. The first three have a dark art style yet is very expressive and doesn’t take itself too seriously. Veronica is cute and pouty and expressive. Her as a vampire is one of the coolest premises I’ve ever read. Archie comics work best when they don’t take themselves too seriously. The last two are much darker and somber art-wise and it really takes away a lot of the enjoyment.
This intro is so cool. This moment alone mandates a movie, animated or not, or maybe a series or an arc on Riverdale or something. My one criticism of the comic as a whole is that it doesn’t do a lot with the premise. Veronica is a vampire only a few times. She also doesn’t use her powers a lot. I think during the pool party scene she should’ve went all out as a vampire. It would’ve been so cool.

I wish Archie didnt almost go bankrupt and disrupt their entire horror comic line.

Reeeeeeally wish Greg Smallwood would have done the art for the full mini series.
