Requiem or Ursurper?

  1. Both. Usurper has an obvious advantage in that it started much earlier and thus had a chance to address a lot more narrative issues than Requiem, but since Requiem starting at 137 was just because earlier was not viable for their team effort, I don’t think it’s fair to judge them for things they were forced to work with.

And of course, each is at a different point in the story – so each is exciting in what it will show in its new release.

  2. I’m surprise i thought this subreddit will be hype on requiem more. Since when part 1 and 2 of aotnorequiem drop it literally broke the sub and the post on this sub is dedicated to aotnorequiem for that entire day.

  3. Usurper will always remain god tier for what they did with Falco. Making his titan fly in place of the plane being shot up by floch was PERFECTION and it made Hanges death so much more meaningfull. Like that’s what really should have happened. So as much as I love AotNR for what they’ve done with Eren and Hisotria… I gotta admit… I’m just gonna end up splicing the both of them into one super final ending.

  4. I wish Aotnr don’t keep making everything too explicit but rather do it like what some professional writers do, yk, like leave a little room for the fans to think and make their theories about some details, that’s part of the fun, imo.

Anyway, I have a feeling that this part will be better than the previous ones.

  5. Storywise, Usurper. They had good ideas, some good dialogues. And so far we didn’t have the very edgy parts that Requiem had so far.

But I’m still very hyped for Requiem because the art is awesome and I’m really intersted on how they’ll portray character’s death, the battle by itself, and possibly some sick ancient Titan designs.

  6. AoTnr has the better art by far but the dialogues are cringe.

They tied the story up well and in general the direction of story is also good but they need to tone it down with the use of iconic dialogues every other panel, most people don’t speak like that.

The dialogues just don’t hit like they do in good manga, which is understandable, but that’s my only complaint that would not be a nitpick.
