They nerfed my boy so baaaad. It would had been so cool to just reveal he was good (and a cinnamon roll) and that Meliodas was taking it easy against him, but after season 1 he and most characters turned into complete jokes.
The fact that some secondary characters in SDS are so cool makes the HORRENDOUS powerscaling even more grating.
My biggest issue with Seven Deadly Sins.

It was cool how OP the Sins were in the first season, but starting with Season 2 it just became utterly silly to look at. Like, somehow making the fiary king a thounsand times stronger than the rest of the race combined is just stupid and utterly uneblievable.
Merlin essentially hold back the ENTIRE SERIES and pupperteered everyone because Chaos…
I don’t think Diane ever got a final power up so she is missing one 0 in terms of power level compared to the rest…
I could go on, but I think I have made my point about how the moments power levels showed up, the show went from a solid 7/10 to a 4/10 for me and if it was not for how blatantly cool Escanor was, it would have been a 2/10 going forward.
Recently rewatched s1 of this show. The scene where gilthunder gets freed and just goes to town on the bad guy is so great. Its such a waste that 90% of the characters are useless in a fight past so cus there was some awesome stuff done in s1

It was simultaneously cool and lame for basically the entire sds cast to be hard nerfed when the series started, then get exponentially stronger.
